The Star Gold Coast Casino Registration

How Registration Actually Works Here

When people talk about The Star Gold Coast Casino registration, they usually mean one of three different processes. They sound similar, but they are not the same.

We have The Star Club, which is our main loyalty program and the one most individual guests end up using. We also have the Player Card, which is a separate registration focused on safer gambling features instead of points or offers. On top of that, there is eRegistration, a system mainly used for groups, events, and accommodation bookings. Each path sits on its own rails, with its own form and purpose.

What they all have in common is pretty simple: every guest must be at least 18, and at some point you will be asked for valid photo ID. That is required under Queensland law, it is not just our internal preference.

Our casino is located on Casino Drive in Broadbeach and operated by The Star Entertainment Group Limited. If you are planning a visit on your own and you are unsure where to begin, it usually makes sense to start with The Star Club registration.

The Star Club Sign-Up

The Star Club is our core membership program, shared by all three Star properties in Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast. Membership does not cost anything, and you can get the process moving online or wait until you are at the property.

You can start online at thestarclub.com.au/sign-up, or walk up to the Guest Service Desk at The Star Gold Coast and speak with our team. Both paths get you to the same place.

The sign-up flow typically looks like this:

  1. Go to thestarclub.com.au/sign-up, or visit the Guest Service Desk at The Star Gold Coast.
  2. Confirm you are 18 years or older.
  3. Show valid photo ID - like a passport, Australian driver’s licence, or similar government-issued ID.
  4. Provide the personal details requested in the form.
  5. Read and accept the terms and conditions, which are available through the website.
  6. Receive your membership confirmation and your Star Club card from us.

Once we have set up your membership, your account starts recording eligible play, hotel stays, and dining spend across all Star properties from your first qualifying transaction. Benefits then begin to build over time as your activity is tracked.

It is worth keeping in mind a small practical point: if you know you will be coming back more than once, starting your registration online before you arrive usually cuts down your time at the desk, particularly on busy Friday or Saturday nights when the queues move slower.

Player Card Registration

The Player Card sits alongside The Star Club but does something very different. It is important to understand that this card is not a loyalty product. It does not earn points, it does not place you into reward tiers, and it is not used for offers.

What the Player Card actually does is give you access to Player Activity Statements. These statements bring together a summary of your gambling activity over a period you choose, so you can see your play in a clear format.

For guests who want to keep a closer eye on how much they are spending, that tool is genuinely helpful. You can request a Player Activity Statement from the Guest Service Desk, through The Star App, or through our website. The Player Card and its features are part of The Star Gold Coast responsible gambling framework, which operates in line with Queensland state requirements.

Player Card registration is only completed in person at the property. At the moment, there is no online sign-up for it.

eRegistration for Groups and Events

If you are arranging a group trip, coordinating a specific event, or locking in hotel accommodation for several guests, then eRegistration is usually the process you will be directed to. This pathway is managed under the eRegistration Terms and Conditions published at starentertainmentgroup.com.au/eregistration-terms-and-conditions.

There are a few key details it is important to know in advance:

  1. Only guests who are 18 or over may enter the casino floor, and there are no exceptions to that.
  2. The personal information we collect during eRegistration is used to provide products and services, and for marketing communications, as outlined in our group Privacy Policy.
  3. Full payment of accommodation fees is required as a condition of access to your hotel reservation.
  4. All hotel rooms are non-smoking, and there are firm rules regarding the supervision of children while on the property.
  5. An 0.8% service fee is applied to all Visa, Mastercard, and American Express payments processed through the eRegistration system.

This eRegistration process is separate from The Star Club membership sign-up. It is not meant as a way for an individual to gain general casino entry on their own. Its purpose is coordinating arrivals, room access, and event attendance at a group or booking level.

What Registration Covers Here

The Star Gold Coast Casino registration is not a single process - it covers three separate pathways depending on what you need. The Star Club is the main loyalty program, free to join, and available online at thestarclub.com.au/sign-up or in person at the Guest Service Desk on Casino Drive, Broadbeach. The Player Card is a separate sign-up focused on safer gambling tools rather than points or offers, and it does not carry loyalty member benefits.

All registration types share the same baseline requirements: you must be 18 years or older, and valid photo ID is required at every step. This is a condition of Queensland law and applies to every guest entering the casino floor. The casino is operated by The Star Entertainment Group Limited and its Gold Coast licence remains active, with the Queensland government deferring any suspension until 30 September 2026.

Once registered with The Star Club, members can track play, stays, and dining across all Star properties. Player Activity Statements are also available on request from the Guest Service Desk, through The Star App, or via the website, supporting responsible gambling in line with Queensland requirements. For help, contact [email protected] or call the Gambling Help Queensland line on 1800 858 858.

Poker Tournament Registration

Star Poker runs a dedicated poker room at The Star Gold Coast, and we handle tournament registration in a structured, repeatable way. Most tournaments allow late registration up until the start of level 7. Some tournaments also permit re-entry, but that depends on the specific event and the conditions set out in the event details.

You can find current and upcoming tournament information at starpoker.com.au, within the Gold Coast venue section.

If you plan to register for a tournament, the usual steps are:

  1. Review the current schedule at starpoker.com.au/taxonomy/term/26.
  2. Check the registration opening times and the late registration cut-off, which is usually at the end of level 6.
  3. Visit the Star Poker room at The Star Gold Coast on Casino Drive, Broadbeach.
  4. Present valid photo ID that shows you are 18 or older.
  5. Pay the tournament buy-in in AUD at the registration desk.
  6. Collect your seat assignment and tournament card.

The Star App

Once your Star Club registration is complete, you can link your membership to The Star App to keep your details and activity in one place across Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast. The app lets you manage a fair bit without needing to line up at a desk.

Within the app, members can view and manage their Star Club account, including checking their points balance. You can request a Player Activity Statement from the app instead of visiting in person. You can also make accommodation and dining bookings, see promotions and events that are specific to the Gold Coast, and update your contact details and communication preferences.

The Star App is published by The Star Entertainment Group Limited and is available on Google Play. Our corporate office for the app is at Level 3, 159 William Street, Brisbane City QLD 4000. If you need assistance, you can email [email protected] or call +61 458 412 513.

Age Verification and Responsible Gambling

Queensland legislation requires that everyone using casino facilities is at least 18 years old. This applies across the board: access to the casino floor, Star Club membership, Player Card registration, and entry into poker tournaments all sit under that same age rule. You will need valid photo ID at the time of registration or entry; we do not have flexibility to waive this.

At The Star Gold Coast we support responsible gambling through several practical measures. Gambling Help Queensland runs a helpline on 1800 858 858, and extra information is available at gamblinghelpqld.org.au. The responsible gambling message we apply across our materials is: BET WITH YOUR HEAD NOT OVER IT.

For most guests, Player Activity Statements are the simplest tool we offer to help monitor gambling behaviour. Any registered member is able to request a statement from the Guest Service Desk, through The Star App, or via our website at star.com.au/goldcoast.

Regulatory Status

The Star Gold Coast operates under a casino licence issued by the Queensland government. As of 2026, the Queensland government has deferred the suspension of that licence until 30 September 2026, after a regulator-approved Special Manager was appointed to oversee our operations. The casino continues to trade under this supervisory arrangement.

For anyone completing The Star Gold Coast Casino registration, this means the property is currently licensed and operating under Queensland state oversight. For general enquiries, you can contact us at [email protected] or visit in person at Casino Drive, Broadbeach QLD 4218.
